Fifty Shades of Fun!

Posted by Renee WSM on May 09, 2013 (0 Comments)

Hello my sexy ladies,

Just happened to read this amazing Blog article that I had to share with you.  Whether you loved or hated the Fifty Shades of Grey series, there's no denying that this "drinking game" would be an absolute winner at your next Bachelorette Party.

With partygoers taking turns reading sections from the book (you having dog-eared the "best" parts for them to read from)  everyone must take a drink when words like "Oh my" or "Holy Sh*#" are said, or when Ana refers to her "sex"... For all the incredible details and rules read on at BookPeople's Blog and be sure to check out the comments for other rule ideas too.

If you want to take it to the next level with a theme, check out this Christian Grey cake...it just screams Bachelorette!

So make your favourite Bride-to-be go fifty shades of red with this sexy and fun theme!

Renée xoxo

A Pink DRINK to try

Posted by Renee WSM on May 02, 2013 (0 Comments)

Hello my thirsty friends,

I am loving this drink idea found (through Pinterest) on the blog " Serendipity Soiree " and thought it would make such an elegant and fun way to serve your Bachelorette Party guests.  It's just too easy:

Put PINK cotton candy in clear glasses (fill those glasses up with the fluffy stuff)
Add sparkling water OR even better, sparkling wine

Recipe and picture from http://serendipitysoiree.blogspot.ca/2012/08/recipes-magical-disappearing-drink.html

Then, sit back and watch the magic happen...the drink turns pink and the cotton candy melts into pink bubbles!

AMAZING, right?  Can't wait to try this one out!

Hee Hee...Love this theme!

Posted by Renee WSM on November 12, 2012 (0 Comments)

Good morning sexy ladies...or should I say "CHEERS BITCHES!"

I've been seeing more and more of this theme dominating the Bachelorette Party scene and thought I better share it with you.  It works beautifully for that special bride, if that's her style, but not for everyone of course. So make sure you know your audience before going with this one!

Start off with a cheeky invite, like this one I found on Etsy: (You know how I feel about proper paper invitations, right?!)

I love the wording on this invitation "an evening of libations and debauchery"...might as well include: "and leave your dignity at home too!" LOL!!!

Now that the ladies coming know what to expect, be sure to decorate your main party area to follow suit. Check out this amazing homemade banner (found on the blog http://www.wildheartwhispers.com/2012/04/bachelorette-part-2.html )...clearly she LOVES her bride-to-be!!!

Not quite the DIYer?...no worries.  You can go to any party store and purchase individual letters to create your custom banner or order one already made, like this: (found on Etsy here)

Finally, be sure to have plenty of DRINKS and glassware to cheers with, naughty GAMES to get the party started, and fabulous ACCESSORIES to make everyone feel special...whatever your definition of "special" means! Hee hee.  You'll find it all here on the Planet of course!

Glasses up!

Mmmm...Martini Theme!

Posted by Renee WSM on August 22, 2012 (0 Comments)

Happy Hump Day Ladies!

What screams Bachelorette Party more than a lovely pink martini? Well, maybe a giant inflatable...nevermind!  I'm sticking to topic today and it's all about the Pink Martinis!  So, I thought I would share some pics to inspire how you can carry this theme throughout your next Bachelorette Party for your favourite Bride-to-be.

Start off by sending out martini invitations...yes, by mail!  There's nothing better nowadays than receiving an invitation by mail (or just receiving mail that isn't a bill!)

Zazzle

Then prepare (or order) some awesome treats, like these martini cookies:

  Cake Central                                       Sweet Goosie Girl

Next, gather up some fantastic Martini recipes, and make them fun, such as these ones:

Pink Panther Martini                       Pink Lemonade

My favourite being this Pink Cupcake Martini Recipe (Sheknows.com), because it's lower in calories and has zero fat ;)

Pink cupcake martini recipe

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces soda water
  • 2 ounces cake-flavored vodka (try vanilla if you can't find cake flavored)
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 ounce low-cal or 100 percent cranberry juice
  • Frosting
  • Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Pour soda water, vodka, orange juice and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake gently to combine.
  2. Dip your finger in some frosting and run your finger around the rim of a martini glass just so it gets sticky. Dip in a plate full of sprinkles until the edges are covered.
  3. Carefully pour the drink into the cup and enjoy!

Finally, finish off with this delectable martini dessert:

Strawberry pudding in Pampered Chef martini glasses

Anyone else's mouth watering yet???  Don't forget that martini glasses (plastic or glass) make the perfect snack and candy holders too!  So have a little fun with the theme and make it a night to remember...or forget...with Pink Martinis!

Renée

NEW Spotlight on...Mini Pecker Party Trays!

Posted by Renee WSM on July 19, 2012 (0 Comments)

Good morning Party Planners!

I just wanted to highlight another NEW item we've got on our shelves - just arrived yesterday and looks like fantastic fun!  It's a package of 3 Mini Pecker Party Trays!

Now, don't be fooled by the word "mini"...these three trays actually measure 9 inches long and are deep enough to hold your favourite dips, chips and candies, or whatever you're serving up for your guests.  You can use them to hold paper and pens for games or as a mold for a special rice krispie treat?!  They are simply three mini versions of our already super popular "Pecker Party Tray."

Whatever you choose to use them for, be sure to pick up a package of 3 today - you won't regret it!

Sexy {Willy-Free} Cake Ideas

Posted by Renee WSM on July 18, 2012 (0 Comments)

Good morning ladies,

Wow - you've been keeping us so busy here at the PLANET and we truly appreciate it!  I know we're low or out of some favourite items, but rest assured that they are on their way back to our shelves as you read this, so be sure to come back soon if we don't have what you're looking for today.

I wanted to inspire our lovely bakers out there this week with some Bachelorette Party Cake options that will create a sexy and fun feel for the Bachelorette Party, but without the need for a willy.  "What do you mean no willy?!" Well, they're not for everyone, or every Bride-to-be, so these sample cakes are fantastic alternatives.

From Black Flour Confection Perfection

Some good cutting and icing skills will help create that beauty...I love the ribbon detailing!

From Lin & Jirsa (LA)

I love the big bling ring and string of black pearls on this one!

From Petals and Pieces

Steady hands for tracing, or make a cardboard stencil and use black sprinkles...plus a boa et viola!

Clearly, nothing screams "Bachelorette" like hot pink and black!  But I love how each of these cakes is unique and obviously made to suit that special Bride-to-be.  So, put a little thought into the cake before the big event and come up with something your favourite Bachelorette will love to bite into, willy or not!

Love from the PLANET,

Renée
